The Least of Evils
Well written with excellent graphics, but sorely lacking in mathematical application questions. I reviewed the text prior to the release of the 4th Canadian edition, and not a single recommendation I made was addressed - very disappointing and an inefficient use of the publisher's resources. An overwhelming proportion of questions (90%)included in the accompanying test bank are far too easy with respect to level of difficulty to be used as actual test questions. Nevertheless, it is still the best textbook available to date.

Great book...very well written
This is the best micro principles book on the market (in my opinion). I like how Mankiw has incorporated his experience working as Chief Economist for the President in the text. This real world experience lends new insight into public policy.

Very easy to read.

My macro colleagues complain about the Macro chapters of the book, but that is not my problem. I like the Micro chapters in this text book.

Save your students some money and have them purchase an older version on the Internet for about $5, rather than use the most recent edition.
